Schibsted Tech Polska is a company with Scandinavian DNA and informal work culture with mutual trust as the main pillar. The organizational structure is flat and we try to create a spirit of innovation.
During a year we organize a number of events aimed towards building a good atmosphere and team-building. Those include meetings with Scandinavian business partners, integration parties as well as afternoon office activities (like Pizza Friday and Terrace Party – yes, we have our own terrace in Kraków!).
We support each other a lot. In Schibsted Tech Polska you can very easily do something more than saying “thank you”. We reward each other with KUDOS which after accumulating few could be exchanged for a coffee voucher, cinema ticket or charity support.

We do not like to regulate every minute of our day at work. We rather try to be flexible. It means, for instance, that you can sometimes work from home, and that work hours don’t need to be the same every day.
Additional vacation days
Did you know that 26 vacation days are the minimum amount you can get? We could be minimalists in a preferred design language but not with treating our employees. That’s as a part of Schibsted Tech Polska you get 4 additional days off.
Our training budget enables you to cover attending abroad conferences, thus you also get extra days off for this purpose. Last but not least, there are also 2 additional weeks for paternity leave.
The combination of competition and shared fun is a perfect description of our video game and table football sessions. It’s also refreshing for our minds and strengthens relationships both in and across the teams. Better start training already before you apply!
Jumping to a new technology is not always easy and requires a lot of time and self-discipline. Tech Jump fixes those issues by encouraging knowledge sharing and enforcing motivation by allowing our employees to work with an informal mentor-mentee program across the whole organization. Our employees individually set goals, best learning methods, and learning scope, knowing that can devote 10% of their time at work to this program.
Tech Talks is a series of meetups and workshops for software engineers. So far we organized over a dozen frontend, backend and mobile meetups with almost 2000 visitors. But all of this wouldn’t happen without speakers from the company who are willing to share their knowledge and working on their presentation skills.
Beyond the Code – podcast
We also ran our in-house podcast which is the idea of moving our engaging kitchen discussions to the external audience. Each episode covers a different area of soft-skills (“How to give feedback”) or broader technical topics (“Is studying IT worth it?”).
