Learn from other Schibsted companies! On April 20th Schibsted Tech Polska organizes a Schibsted Growth Day in Gdansk.
What is the best way to do product development? How can you make a distributed software engineering team work in the optimal way? What are the best methodologies to use?
We don´t have all the answers. But the beauty with Schibsted Tech Polska is that so many companies are doing development in the same place. So why not learn from each other?
The Schibsted Growth Day will be full of case studies, all from Schibsted Growth companies or STP partners. It will be a hands-on tour through how many teams succeeded with their product development. The day is organized in close cooperation with the management of Schibsted Tilväkstmedier (Schibsted Growth) in Sweden.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn from other companies. It will also be a great chance to study how Schibsted Tech Polska works together with its partners.

Who is the day for?
The Schibsted Growth Day is primarily intended for CTOs, tech leads, product owners and managers in Schibsted Growth companies. Most of the Schibsted Growth companies in Sweden have already said they will be represented.
But we also welcome people from other Schibsted companies that would like to learn more about Schibsted Tech Polska and how we work.

Two ways of working together
11:20 – 11:40 How Nya Wärmlands-Tidningen makes a dedicated development team work. NWT has put all their software development to Gdansk. Team leader Radek Pieczonka and digital development manager Daniel Lundström explain.
11:40 – 12:00: How Omni makes a fully distributed team work. Omni has four developers in Gdansk and six in Stockholm. Software developers Michał Waśniewski and Damian Petla.

13:30 – 13:55: How to build a solid roadmap and succeed with a distributed team. Mateusz Jaracz and Marcin Krawczyk, senior engineering managers in Schibsted Tech Polska, share their experiences after working with 30+ different teams.
13:55 – 14:20: Recruiting and keeping the best talent. Marta Marczykowska, HR Project Partner, and recruiter Aleksandra Gorna explain what Schibsted Tech Polska is doing to attract the best software engineers.
14:20 – 14:45: Tapping into the competence pool of Gdansk. Filip Szczucki, Gdansk site manager in Schibsted Tech Polska.
14:45 – 15:00: Q & A and summing up

Evening program
18:30 – 20:00: Boat cruise along the Vistula river. Drinks, socializing and a chance to learn about Gdansk.
We will go with the boat Czarna Perla. It is located along the canal n- only a couple of hundre meters from both Radisson Blu and Puro Hotel. Meet directly at the boat!

Where will it be?
The professional program on Thursday, April 20th, will be organized in Olivia Sky Club, which is on the top floor of the neighboring building to Schibsted Tech Polska in Olivia Business Centre in Gdansk.
Olivia Business Centre is one of the most modern office complexes in Poland
What are the costs?
Schibsted Tech Polska covers all costs connected to the program and meals during the Schibsted Growth Day.
Participants cover their own travel costs.
For accommodation, we will use Radisson Blu Hotel in Gdansk as the main hotel. You can make a reservation as you register for the Schibsted Growth Day.
The hotel price is 390 PLN per night. Schibsted Tilväkstmedier will cover the hotel costs for participants from Swedish Schibsted Growth companies.
PS. As Radisson Blu ran out of rooms, some participants will be accommodated in nearby Puro Hotel. DS
