Brand new offices in Kraków officially opened!

Schibsted has officially moved to the High 5ive office complex in Kraków! Brand new space for over 160 employees has been officially opened by Kristin Skogen Lund, CEO of Schibsted, first time visiting Poland.

With almost 2400 square meters spread across the two top floors of the building A of High 5ive office buildings developed by Skanska, the new headquarters for Schibsted in Poland are full of Scandinavian design, functional spaces and fantastic view for the surrounding area. This is also another visible effort of the long-term investment of Schibsted in Poland – with the agreement for the new office space signed until 2027.

The new offices are located on the Pawia street, with comfortable train, tram and bus connections to almost every part of Kraków, as wall as a walking distance to the Old Town.

The official office opening

For the first time CEO of Schibsted, Kristin Skogen Lund visited Poland and welcomed all employees in the new space and cut the ribbon. The celebration part with champagne was followed by a set of presentations highlight key projects of our Kraków teams.

Check out a few highlights from the event:

Katarzyna Kowalczyk, Country Manager of Schibsted in Poland said the following words:

When we started in 2011, Schibsted in Poland was supposed to be a team of just 20 developers helping Norwegian newspapers in their digital transformation.
Back in the day, we couldn’t have imagined today’s situation – two offices in Poland, with more than 200 employees working across all parts of the organization. And now we start a new chapter with the office located in High 5ive. We have signed the agreement for 7 years and that proves the long-term approach for Schibsted operations in Poland.

We wanted our office to be a place where our employees look forward to work every day. It has a modern Scandinavian style and I hope it will inspire our employees in their daily work.

Village Zone – the heart of the new offices

At the heart of the new office space is what we call Village Zone. It’s a huge space comfortable for up to even 200 people with Scandinavian “houses” spread throughout the area, a selection of comfy chairs and puffs and huge screens ready to support meetups and internal events.

Making every day more enjoyable

Standing desks for everyone, huge gaming/table football room, a higher number of meeting rooms, a dedicated room for mob programming – the list of things that make day of work more enjoyable are here too. Check out few pictures from our new headquarters:
