Most of our programmers work in teams for one of our 15 Scandinavian partner companies and get to know their colleagues in Norway and Sweden very well.  The collaboration is very close. Most teams meet with their partners daily on video – and all of our meeting rooms are equipped with modern conferencing equipment.  Teams are usually small: the typical size is 5-7 developers.

Latest technologies and methodologies

Our partners use different technologies and methodologies. This means that next to each other you may find teams working with PHP, Java, .net or other technologies. In almost every modern technology you will find experts among your colleagues.

We share what we know.  Because all partner companies have an affiliation with Schibsted Media Group, teams are encouraged to share competence and learn from each others.  Often teams invite colleagues to hear how they solved technical challenges. Every month we organize a “super demo” in which all teams give short demonstrations of what they are working on.

Teams are also encouraged to reuse code from each other.

Internal mobility

All employees are welcome to apply for open positions in the company – and internal mobility is encouraged. The fact that partner companies are  using different technologies and methodologies can make moving across teams an interesting career opportunity where you keep learning in the same company.

Employees can also apply for positions in other of Schibsted Media Group´s companies in more than 30 countries.

Our model is based on very close cooperation between the developers in Krakow and Gdansk and their colleagues in Scandinavia. To make this successful we believe it is crucial that colleagues have good opportunities to get to know each other.

Practically every week there are colleagues from Norway and Sweden working in our offices in Poland. Teams from Poland are also frequently visiting their partner companies in Scandinavia. Often we choose to go out together for dinner and a beer. In our ´delegation program´ programmers are able to stay in Scandinavia for periods of up to 2-3 months.

We also organize bigger events together with partner companies, sometimes with more than 50 guests from Scandinavia visiting at the same time.
