Rewards & Analytics People Business Partner

🔷 ABOUT THE TEAM

Schibsted is building a strong People function where we aim to establish People as a competitive advantage. Currently we are looking to strengthen our team with a People Business Partner with focus on Rewards and Analytics.

This is a busy year, as usual, as we look to launch many new People Initiatives into our business and automate and professionalize several of our People processes. The position will enable you to get a broad insight of the organization and you’ll have possibilities to impact the role and take initiative to further improve our People function.

This role will be based in Krakow or Gdańsk and reports to a People Director Global Tech who is located in Stockholm. You’ll be a part of a dedicated international team with 9 colleagues that are all highly motivated in their profession.

🔷 ABOUT THE ROLE

You will have a role split between local Polish processes and Global Tech processes.

For Tech Polska your key responsibilities will be:

  • Define a compensation and benefits package that is aligned to the company’s strategy, business goals and a local market practices in Poland
  • Update salary bands according to marked data and internal structures
  • Manage bonus program administration
  • Expert in salary review and promotion process
  • Work on range of compensation related task

For Global Tech you will:

  • Provide salary analysis of compensation surveys for Norway, Sweden and Poland
  • Provide equal pay analysis
  • Maintain and improve our jobs framework
  • Generate People Analytics and support People Director with analysis

Furthermore you’ll have to be quite skilled with HR systems, understanding the value of data and have the ability to extract the right information. You’ll have a lot of contact with wider HR teams and occasionally take part in a broad range of HR projects across Schibsted.

🔷 ABOUT YOU

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in HR, Compensation & Benefits, Analytics or Rewards
  • You have experience in and interest for operational everyday HR, and an understanding of the fact that the success lies within getting the basics right
  • You have experience with analytical and system tools (advanced Excel, Workday will be a huge plus).
  • You have strong understanding of HR operating environments, including policies and procedures
  • You have a good knowledge of Polish compensation market, preferable in Tech Sector
  • You have experience working within a matrix organization, and can demonstrate an understanding of what this entails
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Backend Developer

🔷 ABOUT THE TEAM

Join Healthjem, the fastest growing distribution company in Norway. Our goal is to provide customers with the most efficient and dynamic experience in the business. We are already integrated with the biggest e-commerce brands in the Nordics and are striving to create a next-generation consumer experience by developing a brand new service portfolio.

  • This year we are going to work on three major initiatives:

1. Proxy Parcel APIs. High-volume middleware service for handling customer integrations.

2. Advise software for parcel sorting facility. The new full automatic sorter is under construction and will operate by the end of this year. The sorter will sort up to 100k parcels per day.

3. Customer communication platform. Brand new system for sending parcel-related notifications to end users on behalf of Helthjem through different distribution channels.

  • We’re looking for curious, forward thinking and agile developers that want to join a team where you will have a direct impact on the business. We have a flat hierarchy and encourage everyone to speak their mind.
  • Our development cycle is very dynamic. We strive for fast change with frequent deployments, while keeping the quality high through code reviews and close collaboration when necessary. We aim to maintain a high degree of autonomy in our teams, and they are largely free to choose the technologies that best suit their tasks.

🔷 ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Work with backend applications written in Node.js for core services and Elixir for event handling and integrations. All services are (currently) running on AWS infrastructure.
  • We focus on using the right tool for the right job, meaning we’re open to platforms and languages that solve the task at hand.
  • Manage MySQL/PostgreSQL databases on RDS (AWS) and Aiven.
  • Utilize existing backend systems and create our own APIs.
  • Collaborate closely with business developers and product teams.
  • Investigate and handle issues reported by customer service team.
  • Our web applications are created mainly using JavaScript and TypeScript with React.js.
  • Tool stack: Terraform, Kubernetes, Github, Jira/Confluence, Notion.

🔷ABOUT YOU

  • You are proficient in writing Node.js code.
  • You know your way around a database, we’re using MySQL/PostgreSQL.
  • You have experience or are interested in learning event-driven development (e.g. Elixir or other functional languages).
  • You have a good understanding of RESTful APIs and know how to use them effectively.
  • You are agile and creative. You enjoy participating in product development and are not afraid to ask for help from your colleagues.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in writing tests is an added bonus.

Fullstack Developer

  • We are responsible for the entirety of Schibsted’s login solution
  • We are a cross-functional team with a dedicated Product manager, UX designer, and talented engineers
  • Our team has the autonomy to discover new ways forward, what tools and technologies we use, and influence the future of our Schibsted account product
  • We put a strong emphasis on self-development and knowledge sharing

 

🔷 ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who wants to develop login solutions that are as seamless, intuitive and frictionless as possible – all without compromising security.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a seamless login experience and ensuring stable login sessions
  • Enhancing how we perform risk based authentication
  • Putting the user front and centre in everything we build
  • Maintaining the security of our login flow up to the highest standard
  • Diving into technical matters to establish a grounded understanding
  • Learning more about, and gathering insights into the future of login and identity (e.g. wearable trends, face ID, motion steering, passwordless, etc)

And you will be working with the following technologies:

  • Frontend: ReactJS, Next.js
  • Backend: NodeJS
  • CI/CD: Travis, Spinnaker
  • Infrastructure: AWS, EKS, Terraform (owned by Infra team)
  • Logs: Humio
  • Monitoring / Alerting: Datadog / Pagerduty

 

🔷ABOUT YOU

We expect you will have:

  • A solid knowledge of frontend development in ReactJS and you are confident with backend development in NodeJS
  • Experience designing and building services in a cloud environment
  • Able to collaborate within your own team and across teams
  • A strong product mindset: you are keen to shape the future of your team and Schibsted account

 

You will stand out if you have:

  • Experience in any of the following areas: Swift, Kotlin, Scala, Java, and PHP
  • Knowledge of authentication standards
