We are looking for a passionate Javascript Fullstack Engineer who has experience with both React and Node.js.


About Rapid Response team

As a part of Schibsted, you will join a community of developers that spans the Media branch of publishers across Norway and Sweden. Our team collaborates daily with regional news sites which don’t have a dedicated team of developers.


We make the cooperation of journalists and editors with software developers easier, more flexible, and pleasant to both parties.


We are implementing smaller 3-4 months projects for which there are no dedicated teams, e.g.

  • Development of a website dedicated to parliamentary elections in Norway.
  • Rewriting news site to a new technical stack – internal Schibsted framework (based on React) and website’s redesign.

We enable journalists to add quick and small changes on websites, e.g.

  • Creation of marathon banners on the local newspaper website.
  • Bug fixing.

We have the mandate to transfer tasks to other teams.


We mostly use Javascript in our applications, Node.js on the server-side and React on the client-side. But we also try to experiment and challenge our own technology choices as much as possible. We care deeply about UI and UX and use HTML5 and CSS3 to make the user experience as good as possible.
We follow best practices like unit testing and continuous integration tools and utilize cloud platforms like AWS and Heroku. We use both relational and NoSQL databases.

Now let's meet face-to-face and talk about your knowledge and skills - we'll start from reviewing your task and then move forward to more complex topics. Don't forget asking questions too!

Team fit interview

Have a chance to meet the Product or Engineering Manager you will be working with. During this step we'll focus mostly on soft topics - your work style, approach to software development and other.
