Are you passionate about developing not only software but also people and processes?
Do you already have experience as a leader or maybe you are up for the challenge?
Either way, we might have the right role for you!
ABOUT THE TEAM
As a part of Ad Engineering, Inventory’s mission is to ship the next generation advertising products, bringing value not only to the customers and advertisers but also to the users.
We implement and innovate on advertising products on the shared platforms for the biggest newspapers in Scandinavia. We also provide a variety of tools to Content Studios and deliver common ad components that are used in all Schibsted products.
With many new projects and expanding scopes, we are looking for YOU! – a motivated Team Leader (Engineering Manager) – to lead the team on a mission forward and support it both with your technical expertise and managerial skills.
Our development team of 8 people is located in Cracow, but you will also collaborate closely with Product and UX counterparts in Norway and Sweden and other teams across the organization.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced software engineer with strong technical and leadership skills to guide and unite the team.
As a leader and member of the Inventory, you will be part of a high speed and fun environment where openness and collaboration are key.
We strive to be creative and pragmatic with solutions at the same time. We test, we fail, and learn together. Every day is about getting closer to the goal: building advertising products that our users love and our advertisers buy!
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
In this role, you’ll be working with a variety of products built using responsive web-design and Sass, styled-components, JavaScript, Typescript, and Node.js. We also use Jest testing framework, Git, GitHub, and ZenHub daily. We use Scrum to facilitate the workflow.
Most of the projects we build and contribute to use React as a client view library, and a strong knowledge of it would be a plus, but we will also appreciate your experience with different frameworks and libraries.
In our daily work, we use modern front-end tools, e.g. Babel, Webpack, ESLint, Prettier, and Travis CI for our CI & CD; we deploy our apps on AWS cloud.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate in a distributed team, able to translate business requirements into technical language.
It’s not a must, but we will be also happy to talk about any kind of ad product experience that you might have.
