Premium Subscription is an organization that gathers subscription newspapers owned by Schibsted – Aftenposten, Stavanger Aftenblad, Bergens Tidende, Askøyvaringen, Bygdanytt, Strilen, Vestnytt, Svenska Dagbladet and Omni.
🔷 ABOUT THE TEAM
We are working on different projects needed by our newspapers, those projects are focused mainly around Javascript/Typescript.
There are 6 teams in the organization.
Since the number of teams and projects are growing, we are looking for a new person that will work in one of these teams, that is responsible for creating and maintaining the infrastructure, caring about security and high availability of existing applications and enabling teams in their daily work.
Currently there are 3 developers in the team – two in Norway (Oslo) and one in Poland (Krakow).
🔷 ABOUT THE ROLE
In most of the projects we are currently working on, we use mainly following tools:
You are engaged rather than an expert with everything.
You enjoy getting things done.
You love your infrastructure and you always look for potential improvements.
You enjoy working with people, are professional and very keen on learning new things and sharing what you have learned.
You are flexible: capable of working alone or in the team
You have basic AWS experience (Google Cloud is nice to have)
You are able to automate things
You have knowledge of Linux, networking with TCP/IP, process isolation, virtualization, and containerization concepts and applying them when necessary.
You have an interest and ability to quickly learn new technologies – we must adjust to changing requirements and new challenges.
You have good communication skills (also English)
You have knowledge of monitoring tools (AWS Cloudwatch, Datadog, Humio, Splunk, LogEntries, Sentry or other of your choice)
You are available for on-call duty when necessary to maintain high availability of operations
We are curious to get to know you and thus will ask you a few questions about your experience, motivation and expectations, as well as tell you more about Schibsted and our projects.
